Scholarships

Melissa Oliver Storz with the Danny Oliver Foundation presented two scholarships to recruits in the Sacramento County Sheriff's Academy. 

Recruit Aldo Romero received the Danny Oliver Scholarship (left) and Recruit Forrest Vernon (right) received the Mike Davis Scholarship.

Deputy Scott Brown and Melissa Oliver Storz with the Danny Oliver Foundation presented two scholarships in honor of Deputy Oliver and two for Detective Davis. These recruits embodied similar characteristics and skills that were shown by both Oliver and Davis while in the academy.

This morning the Danny Oliver Foundation Board members awarded two scholarships to Recruit Joseph Phillips and Recruit Anthony Santiago for their exceptional performance and commitment to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Academy. One scholarship was awarded in honor of Deputy Danny Oliver and the other was in honor of Detective Michael Davis Jr. 

Board member Scott Brown awarded two recruits from the Sacramento Police Department academy. One scholarship was given in Danny’s name and one in Mike Davis’s name. Davis PD and Elk Grove PD have some great new officers. Follow us on Facebook or visit our webpage for more photos. 

Congratulations to six Sacramento Sheriff Academy cadets on receiving scholarships from the Danny Oliver Foundation (photo above). The Foundation awarded a total of $8000 in 2018. Thanks to our Board members and crucially important scholarship committee. Well done everyone!
